Amtrak Certified Sleeper "PACIFIC HOME" Sleeps 21 with Kitchenette
Built by The Budd Company in 1949 as a 10 Roomette - 6 Double Bedroom Sleeper PACIFIC HOME for the Union Pacific and operated on the Streamliner "The City of Los Angeles" (Chicago to Los Angeles). The car was sold to Amtrak in 1971 and numbered 2616 but retained its name. Now has 9 Roomettes, General Toilet, Shower and the original 6 Double Bedrooms.
- MAXIMUM PASSENGER CAPACITY: DAY or NIGHT 19 (+ 2 CREW)
- 6 Double Bedrooms "A-B-C-D-E-F" (upper and lower berth) 2 passengers per room with private restroom (shared shower facility).

Built by Pullman-Standard in 1956 as "PLACID LAKE" for Union Pacific Railroad's Overland Route and frequently assigned to the Streamliner "The City of Los Angeles" (Chicago to Los Angeles).
Now a 4 Master Bedroom, 1 Double Bedroom, 1 Presidential Suite Sleeper with Kitchenette.
